Space City Shuffle

Commissioned by the Houston Jazz Orchestra, here's a hard-driving shuffle tune that will make your mature ensemble sound great. The rhythm section sets the table for the saxes on the melody and answered by punches from the brass. Solo spots for tenor and trumpet are interspersed with inventive lines for the full ensemble.
